Junior Transition To Racing (9:00 AM - 12:00 PM)

*Registrations close at Midnight on Thursday the 2nd of February, 2012.

-          Boats rigged and Sailors ready to sail by 9.30am and concludes around 12.00pm.   Please note, the quicker we rig the more sailing we get;

-          Coaches briefing with all Sailors will commence at 9.30am in the Training room and we will head straight out onto the water at the conclusion of this briefing;

-          Don’t forget bathers, boardies, rashy, sailing gloves, sunscreen, hat, shackle key (if you have one), water bottle, snacks, towel and a change of clothes. If the weather is cold, bring a warm old jumper, windbreaker or wetsuit if you have one.    Personal Floatation Device (PFD) are available to hire over the 6 week course, depending on your enrolment ticket, purchased.   If your sailor continues after the 6 week Transition to Racing course, it is expected they will purchase their own PFD.

Sunday Junior Fleet Sailing (10:30 AM - 4:30 PM)
PLEASE ENSURE ALL SAILORS HAVE SUNSCREEN APPLIED, WEARING A HAT AND A SHOULDER COVERED TOP OR THEY WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO SAIL

Gold (Racing) and Silver (TTR Graduates) Fleet (10.30am – 4.00pm)

-  Boats rigged by 11.00am.   The longer it takes to organise boats, the less sailing time you get on the water;

-  Race Development Skills training with Graham and Ashley until 12.15pm;

-  For those Sailors wanting to race, Race Briefing from 1.00pm and launch boats for afternoon racing from 1.30pm – 1. 45pm;

-  Race Start procedure commences at approximately 1.50pm – 1.55pm;

-  Sailors will need bathers, boardies, rashy, sailing gloves, sunscreen, hat, shackle key (if you have one), water bottle, towel and a change of clothes. If the weather is cold, bring a warm old jumper, windbreaker or wetsuit if you have one;

-  PLEASE NOTE, you are now all required to have your own PFDs;

-  SOME Club Manly Juniors and Flying 11s will be available for lease for both the Race Development Skills training and the afternoon racing at a cost of $20 per boat per day ($10 per sailor per day) or a lump sum of $150 for the remainder of the season;

-  There are also some privately owned boats (Manly Juniors and Flying 11s) available for sale or lease.   If any Silver fleet (TTR Graduates) are interested in these boats, please contact me.
